Are you hosting a baby shower? You're a good friend or relative! All the answers to your many questions and dilemmas are on this page, ready to help you organize and pull off the best baby shower possible. This is my reward to you for going the extra mile for mom-to-be. She deserves this shower and you deserve as much help as possible.
A baby shower can be hosted by a close friend or group of friends of the mother-to-be. While traditionally considered improper for a family member of the mother-to-be to host a baby shower, family members today commonly help and often plan baby showers. My call on it: if you are a family member and the only one able to give the mom-to-be a baby shower, do it. Every baby deserves a shower and every pregnant mom deserves a party! If Mom-to-be already has another child and had a baby shower in her honor before, so what? Call it a diaper party and give the woman a party! ;-)
Baby showers are typically held one to two months before baby's arrival. In some cultures, baby showers are given after the baby is born. If there are siblings-to-be, please remember them with a special sibling gift or special mention.

Remember the baby shower games to keep your guests entertained and always offer baby shower favors to your guests. These do not have to be expensive and it's the classy thing to do. :-) Personalized chocolate bars are my current favorite party favor idea. Easy, everyone loves them and you can save one for Mom's keepsake reminder of the great baby shower you gave her.
Moms-to-be need a baby shower book to record the shower events, gifts, guests and pictures from her special day. The most gracious shower hosts supply this very important keepsake, which can also double as a shower gift.
You'll want to decorate the baby shower party room to reflect the occasion. Decorating for a baby shower can be a very rewarding aspect of hosting. One of the cutest decorating ideas for a baby shower is to toss baby pacifier candy and baby shower confetti down the center of the food table and/or coffee and end tables. Especially perfect and very impressive are customized M&Ms with your choice of letters and in colors that coordinate with your decorations. Baby shower confetti is fun and works great for a baby shower decoration! You can toss some of this cute baby shower confetti in the invitations and Mom can sprinkle a few pieces in her thank you cards. Very fun and cute!
If you know the baby's sex, you can toss wrapped Baby Boy Chocolate Coins or Baby Girl chocolate coins or Bubble Gum Cigars (or combine them if you don't yet know baby's sex!) on tables. Want to make a lasting impression on Mom-to-be and all the guests? Toss personalized baby shower Hershey's kisses and/or baby shower chocolate coins on tables, end tables and down the middle of the food table. Very cute way to add to the decorations and guests can indulge their sweet tooth at will. And always have pretty flowers and balloons to help decorate the party room.
Baby shower balloons add an instant party atmosphere and a custom baby shower banner looks great, will be a treasured keepsake and makes a big impression, too! There are so many ways to create instant and fun baby shower atmosphere to the party room!
Another must-have for your baby shower is custom soda bottles. Jones soda will create personalized labels just for your event and the soda flavors are fun and delicious. While you're customizing soda bottles, do the same with personalized baby shower water bottles!
A diaper cake, created with newborn essentials, is the perfect table centerpiece and will go home with Mom as a charming reminder of her baby shower.
