Have as many wall hooks, coat and clothing racks in your child's room and bathroom as possible. Your child will more likely hang his/her coat, sweater, shirt or any other article of clothing on a peg, hook or clothing rack that's accessible. If you don't ... your child WILL throw clothes all over the floor and you'll eventually freak out. You've now had a fair warning! LOL
Kids think they are too busy to pick up their clothes and they couldn't care less if they sleep in a burrow of stinky socks and sweaty shirts, not to mention wet towels. If you have the tools available for them to easily hang their stuff up and away from the floor, they will use them, especially if the wall hooks are fun and decorative.
The earlier you train your child to hang his/her stuff on a hook, peg or rack as soon as he/she removes said garment, you will instill a life-long habit of organization and neatness. Believe me, it's a secret I wish someone told me a lot sooner than I figured it out on my own. The reason I figured it out on my own?
