Clothes Hooks, Trees, Poles, Pegs & Racks
This is one of the best-kept secrets of parenting ... have as many coat/clothing racks, wall hooks and wall pegs in your child's room and bathroom as possible. Your child will more likely hang his/her coat, sweater, shirt or any other article of clothing on a peg, hook or clothing rack that's accessible. If you don't ... your child WILL throw clothes all over the floor and you'll eventually freak out. You've now had a fair warning! LOL
Kids think they are too busy to pick up their clothes and they couldn't care less if they sleep in a burrow of stinky socks and sweaty shirts, not to mention wet towels. If you have the tools available for them to easily hang their stuff up and away from the floor, they will use these tools.
The earlier you train your child to hang his/her stuff on a hook, peg or rack as soon as he/she removes said garment, you will instill a life-long habit of organization and neatness. Believe me, it's a secret I wish someone told me a lot sooner than I figured it out on my own.
On this page, you will find wall hooks, pegs and standing racks suitable for all decors and tastes. Pick something your child will love and they'll comply easier. You need these ... all over the house if necessary, but at the very least, in your child's room.
Racks, hooks & pegs are also a super place to hang sport's equipment, dance clothes, scarves, backpacks, umbrellas, rain gear, hats, tomorrow's outfit, towels, purses and any number of items that will otherwise wind up on the floor or shoved under the bed. Hang hooks and pegs on any free wall space and have a standing rack (or two!) anywhere it will fit. The entryway of your home is another perfect place for a coat rack.
Shoe organizers are indispensable! Teach young children to put their shoes away early and give them an easy way to do it with a shoe organizer.
