Welcome all newcomers and faithful readers!
Happy New Year! How's everyone's year going so far?
2007 started off with a lot of busy times and fun for me. My novel is almost
ready to publish (you'll all have first crack at it as soon as it's available)
and I spent a week in Las Vegas with very fun business associates and friends. I
even jumped out of a plane! Whooo Hoooo - What a rush! If you're not afraid of
heights, I highly recommend skydiving. It was a great experience and one I'll
definitely do again.
This month will see some changes to our newsletter format. Since AOL has become
more mainstream in the way they allow links to be viewed in email, I will no
longer be adding AOL formatting to the links. If anyone is still using an older
version of AOL and cannot click on the links, please let me know. Depending on
the response, I will add them again if necessary.
Today my younger daughter turns 13. Happy birthday Liberty! Wow ... now I'm
officially a mom of 2 teenagers. God help me ... ;-)
And Valentine's Day is upon us! Find everything cool and romantic on the
Internet for Valentine's Day:

available?"
You bet Naomi - and yeah, I had to cry Uncle last month when I realized I didn't
have enough hours in the month to do everything I wanted to do. Grrrrrr - LOL -
You all can find me and help keep things interesting at the forum (Rexanne's
Community Forum). Go ahead and post something! I know you're all not too shy
to offer an opinion! ;-)

Thanks to all readers who wished me luck with my novel, The Catasy! I won't post
every comment I received or we'd have 100 pages. I SO appreciate everyone's
support and well wishes!

If you know anyone that would make use of it, please feel free to pass it along

Thanks Rexanna! Seems like a great resource for families who need help putting
food on the table!

Better Behavior Wheel
Are the kids out of control? New concept in child behavior modification hits
cyber shelves.
Parents have a new tool for correcting their kids' behavior, thanks to the
Better Behavior Wheel. The wheel is an upbeat, fun, and totally unique parenting
tool that's causing a lot of excitement from everyone who uses it.
"Families who use the Wheel report dramatic changes in their households", says
inventor Julie Butler, of Victoria, BC. "Homework gets done, clothes get picked
up, arguing stops...in short, the Wheel produces great kids and a stress free
environment. And it comes with a money back guarantee."
With more than 10,000 parents now embracing the Wheel's gentle approach to child
behavior management, you can't go wrong. View it at:

Parenting & Family Topic of the Month:
Immunizations
I wrote about childhood vaccinations a few years ago and was inspired to revisit
the topic by a new member to our forum, Dr. Carl.
My original article on vaccinations is on this page:
Childhood Vaccinations
There isn't much more I can say about the topic and I would love to hear other
opinions and thoughts on this subject. I know from the many emails I've received
that there are many questions and much uncertainty about vaccinating our
children from visitors to my site and newsletter readers. This is a chance for
everyone to ask their questions and hopefully find answers or needed insight on
the subject. Visit this page for the immunization thread on our forum:
Immunizations
Your input is valuable and very important to me and many other parents who have
questions and concerns about childhood vaccinations. Please post your thoughts,
questions and opinions freely in the above thread. All opinions are welcome and
encouraged!
Know of a good parenting or family site your fellow readers might enjoy or do
you have a topic you'd like to see covered in this section? Please send your
ideas in for possible publication in an upcoming issue:

Food & Cooking Site of the Month:
Baby Boomer Cookbook
You'll find a wealth of super family recipes on Baby Boomer's pages, including
student specialties, main dishes, desserts, drinks and even Spam recipes (???).
The side dish recipes are plentiful. Deciding on side dishes is always a
challenge for me and these have given me lots of recipes to try and some good
ideas.
Bon Appetit!

Valentine's Day candy Bars
Handing out personalized Valentine's Day chocolate bars is my favorite idea to
make Valentine's Day more fun for kids. My girls love giving them to friends,
classmates and family members instead of paper Valentines and everyone loves
receiving them. Any extras can be passed out to crossing guards, the mailman,
service personnel who deserve a treat and anyone you'd like to offer a token of
appreciation. Save one for yourself!

Time Waster of the Month:
One Versus One Hundred
(Because life is supposed to be fun!)
My older daughter started playing this game and now we're all hooked.
1vs100 is much like 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' and just as addictive.
Answer questions and see how far you can go while trying to stay ahead of the 99
other players competing. Get the kids to help with the pop culture questions you
might not know. It's fun and exciting!
Feed the kids first ...
