Welcome all newcomers and faithful readers!
Mother's Day was especially sweet for me last month. I would like to thank my
kids for the honor of being their mom and my niece and future son-in-law for
helping to make Mother's Day special, too. Love my Edward Cullen T-shirt and
poster (heh heh heh), brunch was just perfect and I love you kids!
How about you? Did you have a great Mother's Day, too? Please share your
stories. We would love to hear how you were appropriately pampered.
And this month we honor fathers!
Dads and Granddads, , have a great day - enjoy your families and know that you
are as valuable as moms. We couldn't be mothers without you and we need your
strength and support to be the best we can be. Moms, dads need our support and
tenderness to keep on keeping on, too. Men thrive on being shown how much we
care. Make it a Father's Day to remember:
Rexanne's Father's Day
And because Dads are such great guys, they are kind enough to share their
special month with their children who are graduating:
All About Graduations
Our kids are psyched about graduating from whatever grade they've just mastered.
Throw them a party, celebrate their achievement and let them know how proud of
them you are! Honoring academic excellence tells kids the importance of
education. Support them through their school years with everything you've got.
They will have better lives the better educated they are.
I'm about to take a very much needed 2 months off from Rexanne's Web Review. I
will of course be back in September with summer stories and loads more to share
with you all. I will be available via email for anyone who has questions or
needs a helping hand in the parenting arena. It's my pleasure and honor to help
so please know I welcome your emails throughout the summer, too.
Have a great 2 months! Stay happy, healthy and sane. The world is our playground
and nothing can stand in the way of a strong spirit. Go out there and make life
a joy!

"Please tell me you're not going to leave us all hanging this summer. I hate
when you take time off from sending out this newsletter!"
LOL Denise. I'm sorry to abandon you for a few months a year. If I didn't take
this time off, I'd go completely crazy and you wouldn't want to hear from me so
it's all good. :-) Please visit my site during the summer. There's so much
content, you'll be kept busy and you won't miss me one bit. :-)

"Don't people get that you're anti-spanking? Why do they continue to badger
you about it after all these years?!"
I suppose because people have different beliefs on the subject, Jennifer. we can
all learn from each other, even if we choose to disagree on some issues.
I understand that all parents love and want what's best for their children and
so I try to stay open minded, while also trying to offer alternatives to
practices I feel are detrimental to good parenting. Thanks for your concern,
though. :-)

Tip or Trick of the Month: Wash the Peels
When cutting into a juicy watermelon this summer, remember that bacteria from
the skin of the fruit can contaminate the inside from the knife when you cut
into an unwashed melon, banana, orange, etc. Wash the outside of all fruits and
veggies you plan to peel with a course rag or vegetable scrubber.
